Our COVID 19 Response
The world is a strange place at the moment, but we are encouraged with glimpses of normality returning. Here at 16oz we are keen to return to working and have been adapting by developing new policies and strategies in line with government advice and revising it constantly in response to the guidelines issued.
16oz is committed to minimising the spread of CoVid-19 and as such it is imperative that all people engaged in production with us are kept safe and well.
Fortunately for 16oz, because of the way we operate, as a small efficient team with the ability to be self contained this has been quite straightforward for us: -
All our equipment is in house – this means we know where, when and who last used it and we have implemented a processes to ensure it is cleaned and disinfected before each use.
No supply chain – working with our own kit means we will have a huge range of cinematic tools available to us, we don’t need to reply on hire-facilities which may have it’s own challenges with equipment availability, delivery methods and also reduces number of hands on any items.
A multi skilled team - this has allowed for Covid compliant shooting in our studio during lockdown and as such we have developed a clear H&S protocol for working together with Covid-19 whilst observing all PHE guidance.
Minimised exposure - the majority of our team live within walking distance (and some together), and those that don’t travel in their personal vans and cars as there is easy access to parking on site – no van hire, no public transport..
Creative and technical expertise – which allows us to easily adapt and find solutions for working with teams remotely and efficiently with our clients can spend the day with us streaming in.
All recommended PPE is made available for everyone attending a production. And our detailed policies can be made available upon request.
Our protocols will be updated as the situation develops, but we always recommend that you keep yourself updated and follow the Gov.Uk website as the advice evolves rapidly.
